A Shift in Seasons
She entered her 30’s with optimism and possibly a bit of naivety, believing that
the world was hers for the taking.
She lives somewhere between daydreams and her waking reality, what could have been
and what will be.
She always tries to put her best foot forward but doesn’t always feel like it’s
enough.
She’s melancholy with a touch of sass. She wears her heart on her sleeve, but there
are layers to her that not everyone gets to see.
As life does, it continues to shift from one season to another. Another birthday
candle to blow out on the cake. Another rotation around the sun. Another page
turned on the calendar. Words left undone.
We don’t always get second chances, but we always have hope. She wanted to believe
that no matter what came her way.
